July 2026 Newsletter Update
As we move deeper into this summer, the momentum of our 3rd Annual Juneteenth Freedom Through Reading Challenge is truly inspiring. Since June 19th, hundreds of young readers have embarked on a journey of discovery, honoring our history through the power of the written word.
This initiative, proudly supported by American Legion Post 262, the American Legion Auxiliary, and Liz and Lizzy Kids, is about more than just reading; it is about empowerment. By engaging with literature, we are building a foundation of strength for our underserved mothers, military families, and children in Mount Holly and beyond.

The race for literacy is in full swing. Every page turned is a step closer to wisdom and a greater chance to be recognized as this year's champion. We will announce our official winner on August 29, 2026.
